» Biography

Özlem Çevik was born on 21 of March in 1969, in Malatya. After she graduated from İzmir Karşıyaka Highschool , she continued to study Classical Archaeology in Ege University, İzmir. She earned her MA and PhD degrees from the Archaeology department at Ege University as well. She has been teaching at Trakya University since 2007 while she has been directing excavations at Ulucak Höyük (İzmir) since 2009. Her main research interests are urbanization process in Anatolia and neolithization process in western Anatolia. She has several national and international publications on these subjects.
