  • .Yüksekögretim Kurumlari tarafindan destekli bilimsel arastirma projesi, Diyabetik farelerde nöropati gelisim sürecinde spinal serotonin ve 5HT6 reseptör düzeyleri ve bu reseptörlerin blokajinin termal hiperaljezi üzerine etkisi, Serotonerjik sistemin agri modülasyonunda rolü olduguna iliskin çalismalar uzun senelerdir yapilmaktadir. Birçok serotonin (5-HT1-3, 5-HT7) reseptör tipinin nöropatik agridaki rolüne iliskin detayli çalismalar yapilmistir. Buna karsin 5-HT6 reseptörlerinin nöropatik agri patofizyolojisindeki önemine iliskin arastirma sayisi az ve çok yenidir. 5-HT6 reseptörlerinin diyabetik nöropatik agrida etkisi hiç çalisilmamistir. Literatürdeki bu eksiklikten yola çikarak biz de çalismamizda • Diyabetik farelerde ortaya çikan nöropatinin önemli belirtilerinden olan termal hiperaljezi üzerine spinal ve sistemik 5-HT6 reseptörlerinin etkisi olup olmadigini• Diyabetik nöropati gelisim sürecinde (7-15. gün) kontrole göre omurilik lomber arka kök serotonin düzeyi ve 5-HT6 reseptör düzeylerinin degisip degismedigini belirlemeyi amaçladik.
