» Biography

Işık İlber Sırmatel received the B.Sc. degrees in mechanical and control engineering from Istanbul Technical University, the M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2020, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Urban Transport Systems Laboratory of EPFL from 2020 to 2021. He is currently working as an assistant professor at Trakya University. His research focuses on applications of automatic control and optimization.
