Principles of Testing - Graduate

  • This course is equivalent of EDUC 5596 Classroom Assessment. This course is designed to help practitioners develop an understanding of the various roles of classroom assessment, strengthen their own assessment strategies & be able to better use data in the development of curriculum that is appropriate for all learners. Students will develop a more clear understanding of the relationship of curriculum, instruction & assessment & ways in which good assessments can help diverse learners.

Classroom Assessment - Graduate

  • This course is designed to help practitioners develop an understanding of the various roles of classroom assessment, strengthen their own assessment strategies & be able to better use data in the development of curriculum that is appropriate for all learners. Students will develop a more clear understanding of the relationship of curriculum, instruction & assessment & ways in which good assessments can help diverse learners.

Computer Hardware

  • This course presents information about the installation, operation, maintenance and support of PC hardware. It will enable students to learn more about maintaining a personal computer system. The course provides fundamental information about personal computers, microprocessors, RAM, power supplies, motherboards, BIOS, CMOS, the expansion bus, input/output devices and other critical hardware component of an idealized PC 

Developing Multidisciplinary Problem Solving Skills - Graduate

  •   Development of heuristic strategies in problem analysis, information processing, modeling and logical thinking.  Study of methods and materials for teaching problem solving strategies, with applications from several school curriculum areas and instructional settings.  Use of microcomputers to develop skills.

Introduction to Information and Learning Technologies/ Undergraduate

  • This is an introductory course that covers information and learning technologieshardware and software basics, communication systems, spreadsheets and word processing, database software, internet use in education, effects of internet on social structures and on education system, security and ethical use of information and learning systems in education.

Learning Technologies and Material Development

  • This course underlines major implications of learning theories as they are applied into development of instructional materials. The course introduces all major types and formats of instructional media including audio, visual, audio-visual, computers, and so on. The course also provides the necessary background and skills in selection, development, and assessment of all types of instructional media and materials 

Operating Systems

  • Comparative Anatomy of Operating Systems, Computer System Structures. Basic concepts and the evolution of operating system. Operating system functions and characteristics. Standard operating systems and structures (NT, WINxx, UNIX (Linux)). Using operating systems: monitor programs and shells; system calls and the programmer interface. Processes, memory management, file systems 

Teaching and Learning Technology - Graduate / Undergraduate

  • This is an introductory course that covers the fundamental of standard educational computer applications in addition to providing the basic concepts regarding classroom hardware and software integration. This course familiarizes students with the National Educational Technology Standards For Teachers and Students. Because of the computer's increasing importance in all phases of education, hands-on experiences are required throughout the course.
